Fair pricing for premium services

Venners offer flexible and affordable services. We always look to tailor our solutions to customer budgets and circumstances.

Pricing

Our pricing structure varies depending on the type of service you require.

STOCKTAKING

Our stock take prices vary depending on a number of factors which determine how complex a job will be. Our quotes are always preceded by a short introductory call, a site visit, and a transparent explanation on how we came to quote you a specific amount.

COMPLIANCE

Since our compliance audits are always custom-built, we tailor our pricing to the individual customer and their requirements. Our auditing costs can range depending on a combination of factors but once agreed will be charged uniformly for each site audit.

CONSULTANCY

Our consultancy fees reflect the expertise we bring to help businesses solve problems and drive profits. Project costs are determined by a number of factors, but will always be fully discussed and contain parameters that do not allow for creeping costs.

Stock take cost factors

Each stocktaking quote is worked out by taking into account the below factors.

Type of stock

As auditors we can count pretty much any type of stock. Though we specialise in food and beverage, we can provide a stock take quote for just drinks, food only, both drinks and food, retail products or any combination of all these products. The type of stock you have determines how much we need to count and the complexity of the job at hand.

Size of operation

We work with all types of businesses, single site to multi-site. Our pricing is determined by various considerations, including number of sites, gross weekly revenue, site perimeter, area size of stockholding locations and number of bars. Based on these we will determine whether your site(s) requires a full day or a half day stock take and how many stocktakers it will take to complete the job.

Frequency required

Although our recommendation is to complete your stocktaking on a monthly basis, because it allows for accurate analysis throughout the year, other popular options include bi-monthly and quarterly. A one-off stock count will still entail a lot of setup work and therefore tends to be priced differently. We’ll look to provide you with a fair price no matter which option you feel suits your business best.

Time of month

Many operators prefer an end of month stock take for accounting reasons. That is why we tend to be incredibly busy at month end. It is also the reason why we offer discounts for mid-month stock takes. Plus, we offer the option to back date the closing stock valuation for accounting purposes. Whichever rotation cycle you choose, we’ll do our best to fit you in.

EPOS

Most businesses complete internal stocks through updating their EPoS system. Here at Venners we know every EPoS system on the market, understanding its limitations yet helping you make the most of analysing the internal data you collect. Some EPOS systems are easier to work with than others and our pricing may range depending on which EPOS system you employ.

Basic or Pro

We know not everyone has the budget available for our professional stocktaking services. We now offer alternative stock take options such as skinny stocktakes, remote stocktakes and internal stock analysis services to help you find the service that suits you best. As these lighter versions of our service are more basic in nature, they will be cheaper than our full stocktaking service.

Compliance audit pricing

Discover what factors determine the costs of our compliance services.

Type of audit

There are a range of audit options available. These can include a focus on any specific business area, or indeed a combination of business areas, creating a hybrid audit. Wherever your focus lies, on brand protection, financial policy compliance, operational, or stock and cash control, audits will be priced according to the time needed to complete the task at hand.

Time of day or week

We are able to conduct audit visits at any time of the day or week. It may be the case that you need your busiest periods monitored and on occasion these could fall outside of the normal office hours and working hours that Venners operate within. Particularly night-time industry operators for example, may wish to audit their venues at night. The charge for audits will always reflect the fair wage we offer to our auditors to conduct night-time and weekend visits.

Frequency of audits

Our audit rotation schedule is determined primarily by the client. Our compliance consultants will, however, always advise on an appropriate and effective frequency of audits. This does not have to be standardised across your estate and may be set up on a bespoke basis for relevant sites. You may for instance, audit your underperforming sites more frequently than your best performing sites. Shorter audit cycles do tend to make analysis a lot more straightforward than longer cycles. The agreed audit frequency will determine the ultimate cost to the customer.

Audit length

We aim to commit one member of our team per site visit. This is always calculated on a full day or half day basis. Some audits we conduct also require an element of extra preparatory work. For example, it may be that some investigation is conducted into till use to highlight irregular procedures before we visit a particular site. With remote access this can be conducted in advance to focus the visit on any particular issues noted. Our audit pricing will account for both remote based and site based work allocated to each audit.

Set up

Each of our audits are set up with a unique question set. Prior to the rollout of our audit programmes our management team will first spend time with you and a selection of your sites to understand your company procedures and policies to set the questions and train the auditors. There is a cost for this but there are economies of scale that we can apply to multi-site companies. Equally, if the visits are to be more frequent to each location the set up cost is easily accounted for.

Consultancy Fees

Our projects take a variety of forms and cover a huge range of operational business aspects. No matter the project, customers can always expect our pricing to reflect the expertise we bring to their business. In all cases the fee is fully discussed and contains parameters that do not allow for creeping costs.

We will never charge for initial consultations or meetings and will help customers shape an effective and bespoke project that solves their problems and helps them drive profits.
