If you are selling or purchasing a business then you will need to have a proper inventory listing and valuation of the fixtures and fittings that is acceptable to solicitors and insurance companies etc. On the day of transfer you will also need to have the consumable stocks accurately counted and valued by a reputable stocktaker who will look after your interests.
 
Wayne Chalk
Has worked as a senior valuer and inventory specialist with Venners Limited since 1997. Prior to that Wayne started his working life by training as a book binder, making law books and working with leather and gold leaf. After he left this profession in the 1980’s he trained as a chattels valuer, preparing inventories of trade furniture fittings and effects for the licensed trade. In 1993 he started his own business which he managed until joining Venners Limited. Wayne is a Fellow of the association of valuers of licensed property. F.A.V.L.P.

Simon Squair
Simon Squair joined Venners in October 1994, and has over 23 years experience as a Chattels valuer, dealing with all aspects of inventory & valuation in the licensed sector. Prior to joining Venners, Simon worked for a leading national agent for 10 years. He was educated in Chichester West Sussex and moved to the West Country in 1982 from where he attends to our National and International client base. Simon is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents.
