What are the benefits of having regular stocktaking?
Peace of mind, Improved profit, reduced stock levels, problems identified early, problem staff identified, individual profit contributions identified, self confidence.
Why do I need stocktaking?
Control & Security. A significant part of your business is cash, you employ part-time and casual staff, low rate of pay. Control of Gross Profit. A lot of time is spent setting and agreeing selling prices, negotiating cost prices and setting gross profit targets. The only way to confirm what gross profit level has been achieved is to stocktake.
Do you do food stocktaking?
Yes, all Venners Stock Auditors are experienced food stocktakers.
How often should I have stocktaking?
Once a month is the norm for a reasonably busy trading outlet. 6-8 weeks if not busy. Leaving it longer than this is not recommended.
What is a stock auditor?
Someone experienced in accurately counting stock, analysing purchase information, revenue, allowances, adjustments and plu information in order to establish a cash surplus or shortage and gross profit profile for a trading period, and then able to advise and make recommendations accordingly.
Do your stock auditors conform to health & hygiene regulations?
Yes , all Venners Stock Auditors have taken at least a basic hygiene course
Do your stock auditors check spirit strengths?
Yes, we make it a mandatory requirement to test a sample number of spirits for strength at each audit.
